Alabama Theatre

The fully restored historic theater rents to various institutions, touring companies, and local arts organizations for a wide variety of performances. The theater hosts weddings, meetings, parties, and benefits. Enjoy the summer series of classic films each year. The Alabama Theatre is designated as The State Historic Theatre. Plans are underway to restore The Lyric Theatre located across the street.

Alys Stephens Center is a world-class performing arts center on the campus of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The historic Art Deco Carver Theatre, located in the heart of the 4th Avenue Business District, houses the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame. The Carver's beautiful theater is a venue for concerts, plays, and various other events held throughout the year. The theater is available for rent.

Hill Arts Center at the Alabama Theatre

The Hill Arts Center is the newly renovated Goldstein Fur Building adjacent to the Alabama Theatre in Birmingham, Alabama. An elegant banquet facility with a 2400-square foot ballroom, the Hill Arts Center is adorned with 85-year-old chandeliers from the original Tutwiler Hotel, along with other fine antiques and artwork. This one-of-a-kind venue is now available to host events such as wedding receptions, corporate meetings and private parties.

Red Mountain Theatre Company

After 28 years and over 100 productions, Summerfest Musical Theatre changed its name to Red Mountain Theatre Company in April, 2007. It operates in the heart of downtown Birmingham in its own unique Cabaret Theatre and main stage productions are performed at the historical Virginia Samford Theatre.

The Virginia Samford Theatre

The landmark Romanesque playhouse formerly known as the Clark Theatre was restored in 2002 by the Metropolitan Arts Council and now serves as a performance venue for a variety of arts organizations. Built in 1927, this unique historic building also serves as an educational and administrative center for the arts as well as a meeting and reception space for the community
