The fully restored historic theater rents to various institutions, touring companies, and local arts organizations for a wide variety of performances. The theater hosts weddings, meetings, parties, and benefits. Enjoy the summer series of classic films each year. The Alabama Theatre is designated as The State Historic Theatre. Plans are underway to restore The Lyric Theatre located across the street.

Hill Arts Center at the Alabama Theatre

The Hill Arts Center is the newly renovated Goldstein Fur Building adjacent to the Alabama Theatre in Birmingham, Alabama. An elegant banquet facility with a 2400-square foot ballroom, the Hill Arts Center is adorned with 85-year-old chandeliers from the original Tutwiler Hotel, along with other fine antiques and artwork. This one-of-a-kind venue is now available to host events such as wedding receptions, corporate meetings and private parties.

After 28 years and over 100 productions, Summerfest Musical Theatre changed its name to Red Mountain Theatre Company in April, 2007. The Virginia Samford Theatre

The landmark Romanesque playhouse formerly known as the Clark Theatre was restored in 2002 by the Metropolitan Arts Council and now serves as a performance venue for a variety of arts organizations.
